(write) 작년에 유명한 소설가에 의해 쓰여졌기 때문에, 그 책은 베스트셀러가 될지도 모른다. ▷ 베스트셀러가 되는 것보다 책이 쓰여진 것이 더 이전의 일이고, 분사구문의 생략된 주어인 the book이 ‘쓰여진’ 것(수동)이므로 수동 완료형 분사구문을 쓴다. 이때 Having been은 생략 가능하다. ※ 다음 문장을 분사구문으로 바꿔 쓰시오. - As it is painted in bright colors, the room seems larger. → (Being) Painted in bright colors, the room seems larger. 밝은색으로 칠해져 있기 때문에 그 방은 더 커 보인다. ▷ 부사절의 접속사와 주어를 생략하고 동사를 Being painted로 바꾼다. 이때 Being은 생략 가능하다. ※ 다음 문장 중 어법상 틀린 것은? - Keeping in the refrigerator, bananas can last a week. 냉장고 안에 보관되면 바나나는 일주일 동안 상하지 않을 수 있다. ▷ (Keeping → Kept) 분사구문의 생략된 주어 bananas가 ‘보관되는’ 것(수동)이므로 과거분사 (Being) Kept가 되어야 한다.
