    ▶ 비교급을 쓰지 않고도 'as 형용사 as'를 써서 비교를 할 수 있어요. We were as close as~.의 시제가 과거이므로, 지금은 사이가 안 좋다는 뜻이에요. ▶ '부부'의 공식적인 영어식 표현은 married couple이지만, 보통은 couple만 쓰기도 해요. 배우자의 역할을 나눠서 husband and wife (남편과 아내), 또는 성경과 같은 옛 문서에서는 man and wife(남자와 아내)라고도 해요. spouse(배우자)는 상대방 한 사람만을 의미해요. ▶ Story에서 Miranda가 "No..."라고 대답했어요. 질문도 안 했는데, 왜 이렇게 말했을까요? 영어식으로 맞장구를 칠 경우에는, 앞서 말한 내용이 긍정문이면 Yes./ Right./ Correct.와 같이 긍정형으로, 부정문이면 No./ Never./ Not really.와 같이 부정으로 받아요. 바로 앞 대사 You guys were not like this before. (당신들, 전엔 이렇지 않았잖아요.)에 대한 맞장구인 거죠.
