▶ 12. The First Thing to Do
Louise: Jenny?
Jenny: Yes, Louise.
Louise: I'm wondering if you could do something for me.
Jenny: Yes, of course, what is it?
Louise: Would you be able to make photocopies of these documents?
Jenny: Sure, no sweat.
[A few minutes later]
Jenny: Mission completed, Louise. Anything else I can help you with?
Louise: Goodness! You're so fast - like a speeding bullet! Very impressive.
Jenny: Oh, it was no big deal.
Louise: Ah, Jenny?
Do you have experience in writing business emails?
Jenny: Yes, I do.
Louise: This client, Mr. Hoover from New World Store, is unhappy with our performance. Due to a number of reasons he had to wait longer than expected for his order.
I need to finish this email to a really important new client as soon as possible. It's really urgent and it’s on my top priority list. Could you write an apology email to Hoover instead of me?
